5. Finishing with a Trowel

Use a trowel that matches the width of the joint to press firmly and finish smoothly.

6. Removing the Masking Tape

We will promptly remove the masking tape after finishing. That concludes our work.

Exterior Painting Work Procedure

1. High-Pressure Washing

We thoroughly remove dirt and moss from the exterior walls with high-pressure washing! If any dirt remains, it can affect the adhesion and lifespan of the paint, so we wash carefully. We also provide free washing of the exterior and entrance areas.

2. Protection of Various Areas

We will protect areas that will not be painted, such as windows, sashes, and floors, using masking tape, blue sheets, and polymer masks. This is a very important task in the painting process! If protection is neglected, gaps can form, allowing paint to seep in or resulting in uneven lines.

4. Primer Application

This is the first application of paint after high-pressure washing and substrate treatment, and it is the paint that ensures the middle and top coats adhere well to the surface. A well-applied primer makes a significant difference in durability and finish!

This time, we are using the DAIYA Wide Sealer from Seika Japan (formerly Daiflex) as the primer, which is suitable for a wide range of exterior wall substrates. It is an adhesive paint with excellent adhesion to various existing paints (existing coatings). Being water-based, it poses no concerns regarding flammability or solvent odors, making it ideal for renovation work.

5. Middle Coat

Next is the middle coating. This is an important process to bring out the performance of the paint, achieve a beautiful finish, and eliminate uneven application!

6. Top Coating

Next is the top coating. This is the finishing touch for the exterior wall painting. We will ensure that there are no uneven spots or missed areas, focusing on achieving a beautiful finish! The paint used is DAIYA Super Selanflex from Seika Japan Co., Ltd. (formerly Daiflex). The manufacturer’s expected durability is about 24 to 26 years.
