On a holiday, my daughter replaced the flooring in the office (laughs). Basically, I had my daughter do the work!

1. Application of Flooring Adhesive

Applying flooring adhesive

We apply the flooring adhesive using a special comb. After applying the adhesive, let it dry for about 10 minutes before laying the flooring! If you lay it before it dries, the adhesive may leak from the seams or shift with just a little pressure… By the way, my daughter laid it before it dried, causing it to shift and the adhesive to ooze out (laughs)

The adhesive that overflowed got stepped on, and now the office and the new flooring are covered in adhesive… Cleaning up is quite a challenge (laughs)

※Note: Please ensure good ventilation while working with the adhesive as it has a smell!

2. Flooring Installation

For a first-timer, they did quite well! I just give instructions without getting involved (laughs).

3. Completed!!

They looked satisfied with the completion! Their work clothes were covered in adhesive, so they took them off at this point!! Due to having some luggage, this time we only completed half of the installation!

My specialty is exterior construction, but even for beginners, if you take your time and proceed carefully, you can surprisingly do well with flooring replacement! You can find materials at your local home center! It’s definitely fun, so I encourage families to try DIY together! Of course, it’s safer to ask a professional! (laughs)
