When we conducted the on-site inspection, we found that the ridge cap was peeling off.
It appears to be damage caused by wind disasters such as typhoons.
We replaced the ridge cap and the wooden batten.
Since fire insurance was applicable, we were able to carry out the ridge cap replacement work, and the customer was very satisfied!

The wooden parts inside the ridge cap (batten) were severely rotted.
If the batten inside the ridge cap rots, it can detach and scatter in strong winds, which is very dangerous.
Additionally, the top part of the roof, known as the ridge, is not covered by roofing materials, making it prone to leaks.
It is considered a critical point of the roof.
However, the rotting of the wooden parts inside the ridge cap is difficult to notice since it is internal.
Therefore, we recommend replacement every 10 years.
The ridge cap is very prone to detachment, and if left unnoticed, it can accelerate the progression of rot.
Thus, we recommend annual maintenance.
