Exterior Painting Construction Procedure in Ashigarakami-gun

1. High-Pressure Washing

First, we thoroughly remove dirt and moss from the exterior walls using high-pressure washing! If dirt remains, it can affect the adhesion and durability of the paint, so we wash carefully.
We also wash the exterior structures, concrete floors, and inside the rain gutters.

2. Surface Preparation

After high-pressure washing, we assess the condition of the exterior walls and perform surface preparation, such as crack repairs.

3. Protection of Various Areas

Next, we will protect areas that will not be painted, such as windows, sashes, and floors, using masking tape, blue sheets, and polymer tarps. This is a very important task in the painting process! If the protection is neglected, gaps may form, allowing paint to seep in, or it may result in uneven lines.

4. Primer

This is the first step of applying paint after high-pressure washing and substrate treatment, and it is the paint that ensures that the middle and top coats adhere well to the surface. By applying the primer thoroughly, there will be a significant difference in durability and finish!

The primer we use is ESKE Kaken/SD Surf Epoxy Premium, which is a primer specifically for ceramic siding. It fills hairline cracks and prevents the occurrence of cracks. By applying the primer thoroughly, there will be a significant difference in durability and finish!

5. Middle Coat

Next is the middle coat. This is an important process to bring out the performance of the paint, achieve a beautiful finish, and eliminate unevenness!

6. Top Coat

Next is the top coat. This is the finishing touch for exterior wall painting. We will ensure that there are no uneven spots or missed areas, aiming for a beautiful finish! The paint used is ESKE Kaken’s Premium Silicon. The manufacturer’s expected durability is said to be about 14 to 16 years.

7. Painting of Auxiliary Parts (Rain Gutter, Eaves, Fascia)

For auxiliary parts, after finishing the surface preparation such as scraping, if it is a metal part, we apply a primer with rust prevention, followed by an intermediate coat and a top coat with Yumelock. We ensure that every detail is thoroughly painted!

Roof Overlay Construction Procedure in Ashigarakami District

1. Demolition of Existing Ridge and Snow Stops

We will dismantle unnecessary parts (ridge cap) for the roof overlay (cover method)!The durability of wooden purlins is about 10 to 15 years. Exceeding the durability period can lead to corrosion and discoloration, resulting in the ridge cap coming off or scattering.

2. Roofing Installation (Waterproof Sheet)

Next, we will install the roofing sheet (waterproof sheet)! The roofing used is Tajima Roofing/New Liner Roofing!
This underlayment boasts the highest quality, unmatched in waterproofing and durability. By sandwiching a modified asphalt layer between non-woven fabric and base paper, it fully demonstrates the inherent performance of modified asphalt.
The expected durability is about 30 years!

3. Custom Fabrication (Karakusa & Keraba)

Before the main roof construction, we will fabricate and install custom parts such as keraba and karakusa!
The custom parts used are genuine parts from Galtect, made of SGL copper plate!

4. Main Construction (Aiji Industrial/Super Galtect)

After the custom fabrication, we will install the Galtect main body up to the ridge!
Once the installation reaches the ridge, we will install the necessary materials to secure the ridge cap, known as purlins. We offer three types of purlins: cedar, resin, and Galvalume steel, and this time we used the top-grade Galvalume steel!
The durability of Galvalume steel purlins is about 30 to 35 years, providing high durability and unlike resin or cedar, they do not crack!

5. Ridge Cap Fabrication & Sealing at Various Locations

Next, we will process and install the ridge cap. We will firmly apply sealing on the inside of the joints. At the wall edge, we will process and install a component called a rain stop flashing.
We use stainless steel nails and screws that are resistant to rust!

Lower Roof Replacement

We have completed the roof replacement work on the lower roof!

Cleaning

We will clean up any debris that has fallen onto the balcony and other areas. We will thoroughly remove nails and metal scraps that could cause injuries. Additionally, we will wipe off any footprints left on the roof to keep it clean.
