Construction Data for Kohoku-ku, Yokohama

Roof Replacement Construction Procedure

1. Dismantling Existing Roofing Material

We will dismantle the existing roofing material! Since the shingle material is adhered to the base, we will peel it off using a scraping tool or pry bar. The existing base showed partial corrosion, especially at the eaves.

2. Installing New Roof Sheathing

After dismantling the existing roofing material, we will process and install new sheathing boards to fit the dimensions!

3. Installing Roofing (Waterproof Sheet)

Next, we will install the roofing sheet (waterproof sheet)!
With the role of secondary waterproofing, if the roofing is properly installed, there will be no leaks! We will ensure it is firmly attached to prevent it from blowing away. The roofing sheet used is from Tajima Roofing/New Liner Roofing. Its durability is approximately 30 years, making it a highly durable roofing sheet. If the roofing material is highly durable, we recommend matching the durability of the roofing sheet as well.

4. Fabrication of Accessories (Karakusa and Keraba)

Before the main roofing work, we will fabricate and install accessories such as keraba and karakusa!
The accessories used are made of SGL steel plate. SGL steel plate offers three times the corrosion resistance compared to Galvalume steel plate!

5. Main Construction (Aiji Industry/Super Galtect)

After processing the fittings, we will install the Galtect main body up to the ridge! We will install the Galtect main body up to the ridge! The method for securing the roofing material will use stainless steel screws that have undergone disco treatment.
Once the installation reaches the ridge, we will attach the ridge base to secure the ridge metal. We offer three types of batten: cedar, resin, and Galvalume steel, and this time we used Galvalume steel!
Galvalume steel is expected to have three times the durability compared to cedar! Unlike resin and cedar, it does not crack, providing peace of mind!

Our original integrated waste board made of Galvalume steel for the ridge base is highly durable, has strong fixation, and excellent wind resistance! Even if rainwater enters from the ridge, it has a mechanism to discharge rainwater to the outside, demonstrating high waterproofing performance! It is perfect for the Super Galtect ridge base!

6. Installation of Snow Guards

While installing the main body, we will attach the snow guards specifically designed for Super Galtect. Some contractors use aftermarket snow guards, but we recommend using genuine products as it may affect the warranty.

7. Processing of Ridge Metal and Sealing at Various Locations

We will process and install the

ridge cap. To enhance waterproofing, we will install a face plate on the inside of the ridge! We will thoroughly apply sealing on the inside of the joints.
The screws used for fixing are made of rust-resistant stainless steel with waterproof packing!

Unlike nails, screws with packing are less likely to come loose and securely fix the ridge cap to the purlin!

Although it is not visible after installation, the waterproofing is enhanced by installing a face plate on the inside of the ridge cap!
We will firmly protect the ridge, which is a critical part of the roof.

7. Cleaning

We will clean up any debris that has fallen onto the balcony or rain gutters. We will thoroughly remove items like nails and metal fragments that could cause injuries. Additionally, we will wipe away any footprints left on the roof to keep it clean.

About Roofing Materials

The roofing material used is the Super Galtect from Aijii Industries.
The Super Galtect comes with a manufacturer warranty of 15 years for the coating and 25 years for perforation.
Our company also provides a 10-year construction warranty!
Made of SGL steel plate, it is resistant to rust.
Insulation material is tightly adhered from edge to edge of the roofing material, creating a metal plate that integrates steel and insulation.
During installation, insulation is applied even to the parts where the roofing materials overlap, and the surface is coated with a high heat-reflective paint, allowing for a cool summer and warm winter experience.
It also has soundproofing properties, reducing the sound of rain.
Moreover, it is lightweight compared to other roofing materials, which reduces the sway during earthquakes, making it a good earthquake countermeasure.
It excels in finish, durability, insulation, soundproofing, and wind resistance, and the Super Galtect from Aijii Industries is the most frequently used in our construction achievements and is receiving considerable attention!

Rain Gutter Repair Construction Procedure

1. Dismantling Existing Rain Gutter

First, we will dismantle the rain gutter.

2. Dismantling Existing Fixtures

We will dismantle the brackets carefully to avoid damaging the fascia board. After dismantling the brackets, we will also perform repairs due to the holes left by screws and nails.

3. Bracket Installation

We will install new rain gutter brackets. We will use stainless steel brackets. When installing the eaves brackets, we will use kite string or chalk lines to ensure the proper slope for the rain gutter, allowing rainwater to flow correctly. The slope of the rain gutter is crucial!

4. Rain Gutter Installation

We will install the rain gutter onto the brackets that were just installed.

5. Water Flow Test, Cleaning, Completion

Finally, we will conduct a water flow test and cleaning to complete the job!
During the water flow test, we will actually run water through the rain gutter to check for any leaks and ensure that water flows properly!

For the eaves gutter, we used Panasonic/PC50.
It has a strong structure due to the steel plate inside.
