Joint Replacement Construction Procedure

1. Removal of Existing Sealing Material

We will remove the existing sealing material using a cutter or similar tool.

2. Application of Masking Tape

Check the position for applying the tape and carefully attach it to avoid embedding into the surface.

3. Application of Primer

4. Filling the Sealant

Place the nozzle of the caulking gun against the joint base and fill it adequately. The caulking material used is Auto Chemical / Auton Exceed.
Auton Exceed has a durability of about 3 times that of regular caulking materials (such as urethane and modified silicone). The expected durability is about 30 years. The cost will be about 50,000 to 100,000 yen higher for a building with a total floor area of 30 tsubo.

5. Finishing with a Trowel

Firmly press with a trowel that matches the joint width to achieve a smooth finish.

6. Removing the Masking Tape

Quickly remove the masking tape after finishing. That concludes the process.
