Ridge Cap Replacement Procedure

The ridge cap is a metal covering that protects areas of the roof where roofing materials cannot be laid, such as the peak of the roof.
It is susceptible to damage from wind disasters and can also cause leaks.

1. Existing Ridge Demolition

Old ridge caps and the internal wooden batten are removed. Care is taken not to break the roofing materials during this process.
It is recommended to replace the internal wooden batten every 10 to 15 years.
When the ridge cap is removed, there is a batten inside. This batten was severely deteriorated and corroded.

2. New Batten Installation

We will be installing a new batten. There are types of battens made from cedar and resin, and this time we used cedar!

3. Sealing the Ridge Cap Joints

We apply sealing on the inside of the overlaps to enhance strength and waterproofing.

4. Installing New Ridge Caps

We will process and install the ends and joints!

5. Cleaning Up and Completion!

Installation Procedure for Kiryoke (Eave) Metal Work

1. Dismantling Existing Kiryoke

We will remove the existing Kiryoke metal work.

2. New Sheathing and Preservative

We will cut and lay the new sheathing to fit the dimensions!

3. Fabrication of Fittings

We will process and install fittings such as arabesques!

4. Roofing Installation (Waterproof Sheet)

The roofing used is Tajima Roofing/Tadi Self!
It is made of a delayed adhesive modified asphalt roofing material, which is said to have double the durability of regular asphalt roofing.
With the role of primary waterproofing, if the roofing is solid, there will be no leaks!
We will firmly adhere it to prevent it from blowing away.

5. Sealing

The metal used is made of Galvalume steel! It is a flat sheet made of Galvalume steel, which is resistant to rust! The edges will be treated with caulking to complete the work! The new flat sheet is JFE Steel/Extreme MAX. The manufacturer guarantees a 15-year coating warranty and a 25-year hole warranty!
