Roof Overlay Construction Procedure

1. Dismantling Existing Ridge and Snow Stops

We will dismantle unnecessary parts (ridge flashing) for the overlay method! The durability of wooden purlins is about 10 to 15 years. Exceeding the durability period can lead to corrosion and discoloration, resulting in the ridge flashing coming loose or being blown away.

2. Laying Roofing (Waterproof Sheet)

Next, we will apply the waterproof sheet! The roofing material used is Jouyu Pulp Industry/Sunlight G!
It is made of modified asphalt roofing, which is said to have double the durability compared to regular asphalt roofing.
As a primary waterproofing measure, if the roofing is solid, there will be no leaks! We will ensure it is firmly applied to prevent it from blowing away.

3.Accessory Processing (Karakusa & Keraba)

Before the main roof construction, we will process and install accessories such as keraba and karakusa!
The accessories used are the genuine accessories from Galtect, made of SGL copper plate!

4.Main Construction (Aiji Industry/Super Galtect)

After processing the accessories, we will install the main Galtect roofing up to the ridge!
Once the roofing is completed up to the ridge, we will install the necessary materials called “kanbari” to secure the ridge cap. We offer three types of kanbari: cedar, resin, and galvalume steel, and this time we used cedar!

5.Ridge Cap Processing & Sealing at Various Locations

Next, we will process and install the ridge cap. We will firmly apply sealing on the inside of the joints.
The nails and screws used for fixing are made of stainless steel, which is resistant to rust!

It was right after the snow had fallen, and the entire area was a winter wonderland!

6. Cleaning

We will clean up any debris that has fallen onto balconies and other areas. We will thoroughly remove items like nails and metal scraps that could cause injuries. Additionally, we will wipe away any footprints left on the roof to ensure everything is clean.

The roofing material used is the Super Galtect from Aiji Industrial.
The Super Galtect comes with a 15-year paint warranty and a 25-year hole warranty from the manufacturer.
We also provide a 10-year construction warranty!
Made from SGL steel plates, it is resistant to rust.
Insulation material is tightly applied from edge to edge of the roofing material, creating a metal plate that integrates both the steel plate and insulation.
