Roof Replacement Construction Procedure

1. Demolition of Existing Ridge and Snow Stops

After dismantling the existing roofing material, we will process and install new sheathing boards to fit the dimensions!

2. Installation of New Sheathing Boards

After dismantling the existing roof, we will add a new layer of sheathing. This serves as the base for the roof, and we will securely attach it while processing it.

2. Roofing Installation (Waterproof Sheet)

The roofing used is Tajima Roofing/New Liner Roofing
!

The expected durability is about 30 years!
The roofing serves as a secondary waterproofing layer, and if it is properly installed, there will be no leaks! We will ensure that it is tightly laid to prevent any gaps.
When selecting roofing sheets, choose those with a durability as close as possible to that of the new roofing materials! New Liner Roofing has a durability relatively close to Super Galtect, so we recommend using New Liner Roofing when performing roofing work with Super Galtect!

3. Custom Fabrication (Curlicue, Eaves, Rain Guard)

Before the main roof installation, we will fabricate and install custom parts such as eaves, curlicues, and valley metal!
The materials used are galvalume steel!

4. Main Construction (Aiji Industrial/Super Galtect)

After the custom fabrication and installation, we will lay the Super Galtect material all the way to the ridge!

Once the roof is completed up to the ridge, we will install the necessary materials to secure the ridge board known as the kanban. We offer three types of kanban: cedar, resin, and Galvalume steel, and this time we used the Galvalume steel!
The Galvalume steel is expected to have three times the durability compared to cedar! Unlike resin and cedar, it does not crack, providing peace of mind!

Our original integrated waste board made of Galvalume steel for the ridge base is,
highly durable, with strong fixation and excellent wind resistance!
Even if rainwater enters from the ridge, it has a mechanism to discharge rainwater to the outside, demonstrating
high waterproofing performance!

5. Processing of Ridge Metal and Sealing at Various Locations

Next, we will process and install the ridge metal. We will firmly apply sealing on the inside of the joints. The sealing material used this time is Auton Chemical Industry’s Auton Exceed. Auton Exceed is a sealing material with a durability of about 30 years, making it an ultra-high durability option. It offers nearly three times the durability of urethane and silicone-based materials!!

*Note: Since Auton Exceed takes time to cure, if exterior wall painting is to be done after the sealing work, it must be left for several days to cure.

Pack screws with gaskets are less likely to come out compared to nails, firmly securing the ridge metal to the kanban!

Although it is not visible after construction, attaching a face plate inside the ridge metal enhances waterproofing! It firmly protects the ridge, which is a critical point of the roof.

6. Cleaning

We will clean up any debris that has fallen onto the balcony or rain gutters. We will thoroughly remove items such as nails and metal scraps that could lead to injuries. Additionally, we will wipe away any footprints left on the roof to ensure it looks pristine.

About Roofing Materials

The roofing material used is Ai-G Co., Ltd.’s Super Galtect.

Super Galtect comes with a 15-year paint film warranty and a 25-year hole warranty!

Additionally, we also provide a 10-year construction warranty.

Made of SGL steel plate, it is resistant to rust. Insulation material is tightly applied from edge to edge of the roofing material, creating a metal plate that integrates steel and insulation.

When installed, insulation is applied even to the parts where the roofing materials overlap, and the surface is coated with a high heat-reflective paint, allowing for a cool summer and a warm winter. It also has soundproofing properties, reducing the sound of rain.

Moreover, it is lighter compared to other roofing materials, which reduces the sway during earthquakes, making it a good earthquake-resistant option.
