Roof Painting Work Procedure

1. High Pressure Washing

First, we thoroughly remove dirt and moss with high pressure washing! If dirt remains, it can affect the adhesion and durability of the paint, so we wash carefully.
We also wash the exterior, the floor, and inside the rain gutters as well.

After the initial high pressure washing, we ensure to remove moss and dirt from the roof with scraping.

2. Protection of Various Parts

Next, we protect areas that will not be painted, such as the rain gutters, using masking tape and poly masking.
This is an important task.

3. Surface Preparation & Rust Prevention for Metal Parts

Next, we perform surface treatment and apply rust prevention to the metal sheets and snow guards.

4. Primer Application

Next, applying a solid primer makes a difference in durability and finish. The primer used is a water-based single surf.

5. Intermediate Coating

Next is the middle coat. We used water-based Yane Fresh si paint.
The durability is said to be about 6 to 8 years. The durability may vary depending on the environment and other factors.

6. Top Coat

Next is the top coat. This will be the finishing touch for the roof painting.

Exterior Wall Painting Construction Procedure

1. Substrate Adjustment

After the high-pressure washing is completed, we will perform substrate adjustments such as crack repairs while checking the deterioration of the exterior wall.

2. Surface Protection

Next, we will protect areas that will not be painted, such as windows, sashes, and floors, using masking tape, blue sheets, and polymer masks. This is a very important task in the painting process! If we neglect the surface protection, gaps may form, allowing paint to seep in, or we may not achieve clean lines.

3. Primer Coat

This is the first step of applying paint after high-pressure washing and substrate treatment, and it is the primer that ensures that the middle and top coats adhere well to the painted surface. The primer used is from SK Kaken/SD Surf Epoxy Premium, which is a primer specifically for ceramic siding. It seals hairline cracks and prevents the occurrence of cracks. By applying the primer thoroughly, there will be a significant difference in durability and finish!

4. Middle Coat

Next is the middle coat. This is an important process to bring out the performance of the paint, achieve a beautiful finish, and eliminate uneven application!

5. Top Coat

Next is the top coat. This will be the finishing touch for the exterior wall painting. We will be mindful to ensure there are no uneven spots or missed areas, resulting in a beautiful finish! The paint used is Eske Kaken‘s Premium Inorganic. It is said that the manufacturer’s expected durability is about 18 to 20 years.

After completing the surface preparation such as scraping for the attached parts, for metal parts, we apply a rust preventive primer, followed by a mid-coat and top-coat using Yumelock. We ensure to paint every detail thoroughly!

Exterior Painting

Finally, we will carry out the exterior painting and clean up, marking the completion of the project! Since the existing finish is Jolly Pat, we used the specialized paint Art Fresh! For the primer, we used SK Kaken/Miracle Sealer Eco (cationic sealer), and for the mid and top coats, we used SK Kaken/Art Fresh! The result is a beautiful matte finish.
