Hello!
We are Kakeru Koumuten Co., Ltd., a specialist in roofing, exterior wall painting, and exterior renovations located in Aoba-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture!
This time, the construction work involves setting up temporary scaffolding inside the waste incineration facility’s hopper and performing painting work with lubricating paint!
What is the hopper of an incinerator..
The hopper of an incinerator is simply described as a “convenient passageway or inlet for feeding waste and fuel into the incinerator”.
The hopper is designed to withstand high temperatures and may also be equipped with devices to adjust the amount and speed of input. Additionally, various safety measures are implemented to ensure the safety of workers and those around them.
In short, it can be understood as a convenient entrance or passageway for putting items into the incinerator.
On this page, we will explain the actual results of the work carried out by Kakeru Koumuten!

Procedure for Installing Temporary Scaffolding at the Factory
1. Wearing and Checking Protective Clothing
First, we put on protective clothing before entering the incinerator!
Since combustion occurs at high temperatures in the incinerator, workers need to wear protective clothing as a barrier to protect themselves from dust and harmful substances in the air!
The mask will be a specialized gas mask!
One person will be on lookout, and three will be working, making a total of four people on site.
After putting on the protective clothing, we will also wear full harnesses and begin work!
2. Before Bringing in Scaffolding Materials for the Incinerator (Hopper)
When bringing in scaffolding materials into the factory, we will cover the floor with cloth to prevent damage from the scaffolding materials!
Before entering the hopper, we will create a hazard prediction activity sheet (KY) and display it in a visible location!
We will confirm with the staff before starting work and check for potential risks of accidents that may occur during the work.
Inside the factory’s incinerator, the machine noise is very loud, and since we are wearing masks and protective clothing, communication can be difficult.
We will decide on hand signals and use loud voices as much as possible to proceed with the work!
The lookout will stop the work or give warnings if there are any third-party confirmations or situations that could lead to accidents.
3. Delivery of Scaffolding Materials
This is the inside of the incinerator as seen from the entrance! We will transport scaffolding materials from here!
Since this is usually where garbage is burned, it was still a bit hot.
We are wearing protective clothing and it is difficult to breathe with masks, so we will take breaks frequently while transporting materials!
4. Wedge-type Scaffolding Assembly
We will install scaffolding inside the hopper. This time, the area where we will apply the lubricant is on a slope, so we will also set up scaffolding on the slope like we do for roof scaffolding.
5. Installation of Planks
We will apply the lubricant and complete the work!
The graphite lubricant used is expensive as it can withstand high temperatures!
After cleaning, we will cover it up and apply two coats!
The color will be colorless and transparent!
Flexible Response with a Complete In-house System
Our in-house construction allows for speedy responses and cost savings!
1. In-House Scaffolding Materials

We have a temporary scaffolding material storage site in Aoba-ku and Asahi-ku, Yokohama.
By owning our scaffolding materials and assembling the scaffolding ourselves, we can achieve flexible and rapid construction.
By not outsourcing scaffolding work and using our own scaffolding team, we can also cut costs associated with scaffolding construction.
Even for small-scale projects that require temporary scaffolding for partial rain gutter replacements, we can set up scaffolding in-house and perform rain gutter repairs
1 day for scaffolding assembly
1 day for rain gutter repair
1 day for scaffolding dismantling
Typically, this would take a total of 3 days,
but with our company, we can complete the work in just 1 day!
2. In-House Material Storage

We store exterior materials and paints.
By ordering a large quantity of materials at once, we can procure materials at lower prices!
Additionally, we always have stock available, allowing for speedy responses in emergencies!
We can also store solar panels and other items in the warehouse without exposing them to rain!
3. In-House Waste Separation
In exterior renovations, various waste materials such as paint, wood, and metal are generated.
While most contractors dispose of them all together, significant cost savings on waste disposal can be achieved by sorting and recycling the materials.
