During the on-site inspection, we found that the ridge cap was peeling.
It is believed to be damage caused by wind disasters such as typhoons.
We replaced the ridge cap and the underlying board.
Since fire insurance was applicable, we were able to carry out the ridge cap replacement work, and the customer was very satisfied!

The wooden part inside the ridge cap (underlying board) was significantly rotted.
If the underlying board inside the ridge cap rots, it can detach and scatter in strong winds, which is very dangerous.
Also, the top part of the roof, known as the ridge, is not covered by roofing material, making it prone to leaks.
It is considered a critical point of the roof.
However, the rotting of the wooden part inside the ridge cap is difficult to notice since it is internal.
Therefore, we recommend replacement every 10 years.
The ridge cap is very prone to detachment, and if left unattended, it can accelerate the progression of rot.
Thus, we recommend annual maintenance.
