Roof Overlay Construction Procedure
1. Demolition of Existing Ridge and Snow Stops
We will dismantle unnecessary parts (ridge flashing) for the overlay method! The durability of wooden purlins is about 10 to 15 years. Exceeding the durability period can lead to corrosion and discoloration, resulting in the ridge flashing coming loose or scattering.
2. Laying Roofing (Waterproof Sheet)
Next, we will lay the roofing sheet (waterproof sheet)!
The roofing used is Nisshin Kogyo/Kappa 23!
It is made of modified asphalt roofing, which is said to have double the durability of regular asphalt roofing.
As a primary waterproofing measure, if the roofing is properly installed, there will be no leaks!
We will secure it firmly to prevent it from blowing away.
3. Fabrication of Fittings (Curlicue and Valley)
Before the main roofing work, we process components such as eaves and curly patterns for installation!
The components used are genuine components from Galtect, made of SGL copper plate!
4. Main Construction
After processing the components, we will install the Galtect main roofing up to the ridge!
Once the roofing is completed up to the ridge, we will install a necessary material called a “nail board” to secure the ridge flashing. We offer three types of nail boards: cedar, resin, and galvalume steel, and this time we used the resin type!
The resin nail board is expected to have 2 to 3 times the durability compared to the cedar type!
Additionally, the durability of the galvalume steel nail board is approximately 30 to 35 years, making it highly durable and unlike the resin or cedar types, it won’t crack!
5. Ridge Flashing Processing
Next, we will process and install the ridge flashing. We will thoroughly apply sealing on the inside of the joints. At the wall edge, we will process and install a component called a rain guard flashing.
The nails and screws used for fixing are made of stainless steel, which is resistant to rust!
6. Cleaning
We will remove footprints and any debris that may have fallen around the house and inside the rain gutters, and perform a thorough cleaning.
We strive to ensure that the area looks cleaner after the work than before!

About Roofing Materials
The roofing material used is the Super Galtect from Aijii Industry.
The Super Galtect comes with a manufacturer warranty of 15 years for the coating and 25 years for perforation.
Our company also provides a 10-year construction warranty!
Made of SGL steel plate, it is resistant to rust.
Insulation material is tightly applied from edge to edge of the roofing material, creating a metal plate that integrates steel and insulation.
When installed, insulation is applied even to the parts where the roofing materials overlap, and the surface is coated with high heat-reflective paint, allowing for a cool summer and warm winter experience.
Additionally, it has soundproofing properties, reducing the sound of rain.
Being lighter than other roofing materials, it also minimizes shaking during earthquakes, serving as an earthquake countermeasure.
It excels in finish, durability, insulation, soundproofing, and wind resistance, and the Super Galtect from Aijii Industry is our most frequently used material, receiving considerable attention!
