Procedure for Eaves Gutter Replacement Work
1. Dismantling Existing Eaves Gutter
We remove the eaves gutter and brackets carefully to avoid damaging the fascia board.
2. Installing New Eaves Brackets
We will install new eaves brackets. When installing the eaves brackets, we will use kite string or chalk lines to set the slope of the rain gutter with the brackets. The slope of the rain gutter is very important!
One point to note is that due to the distortion of the building or the fascia (where the eaves brackets were attached), even if you set the slope with the brackets, it may cause backflow. It is important to check the slope with a level against the fascia before attaching the brackets!
3. Installation of eaves gutter
We will install a new eaves gutter!
4. Water flow test
We will confirm that the water flows properly!
5. Cleaning
Procedure for Fascia Metal Cover Construction
This time, we covered a part of the existing fascia that had collapsed with Galvalume steel sheets!
1. Measure dimensions
We will measure the dimensions!
After that, we will process according to the measurements.
2. Nailing
We will attach the processed metal sheets and nail them in place! We will also apply caulking on the inside of the seams!
3. Caulking treatment
We will perform caulking treatment.
4. Cleaning
That concludes the work!
Generally, fascia boards and eaves (the side of the fascia where the rain gutter is attached) are maintained with “painting,” but when there is overall damage that cannot be repaired with painting, metal work is performed.
Fascia metal work involves covering the fascia board with Galvalume steel sheets as a renovation project.
It is also referred to as metal wrapping work or cover work.
This time, we performed metal cover work because part of the existing fascia had collapsed.
