1. Demolition of existing ridge and rain gutter
We will only demolish the ridge flashing and snow guards that obstruct the cover work. The hole in the middle of the photo is the ventilation opening in the attic where the ventilation ridge was installed.
2. Laying roofing (waterproof sheet)
The roofing used this time is modified asphalt. It is expected to have double the durability of traditional asphalt roofing!
3. Fabrication of accessories (decorative patterns, eaves, valleys, waste boards)
We will process and install the waste board, valley metal, keraba, and arabesque.
4. Main construction
Once the main body is roofed, we will install the purlin at the ridge and wall edges. This time, we used cedar purlins, but there are also resin purlins that are resistant to corrosion.
5. Ridge metal and wall edge rain stop metal processing
We will process and install the ventilation ridge and ridge metal. For the wall edges, we will process and install a component called rain stop metal. We will also apply sealing thoroughly.
7. Cleaning
We will remove footprints and any debris that has fallen around the house and inside the rain gutters, and we will do a thorough cleaning.
We strive to leave the site cleaner after the work than it was before!

About roofing materials
The roofing material used is the Super Galtect from Aijii Industrial.
The Super Galtect comes with a manufacturer warranty of 15 years for the coating and 25 years for perforation.
Our company also provides a 10-year construction warranty!
It is made of SGL steel plate, which is resistant to rust.
Insulation material is tightly adhered from edge to edge of the roofing material, creating a metal plate that integrates the steel plate and insulation.
When installed, insulation is applied even to the parts where the roofing materials overlap, and the surface is coated with a highly heat-reflective paint, allowing for a cool summer and warm winter experience.
Additionally, it has soundproofing properties, which reduce the sound of rain.
Moreover, it is lighter compared to other roofing materials, which reduces the sway during earthquakes, making it a good earthquake countermeasure.
It excels in finish, durability, insulation, soundproofing, and wind resistance, and the Super Galtect from Aijii Industrial is the most frequently used in our construction achievements and is receiving considerable attention!

What is the roof overlay (cover method)?
The roof overlay (cover method) involves leaving the current roof almost intact and placing a new roof on top of it, effectively covering it.
Literally, it is a method of covering a roof with another roof. Therefore, the roof becomes double-layered. Since the roof is laid over, it is also referred to as “overlapping roofing.”
Advantages of the Cover Method
By placing a “new roof” over the “current roof,” there is almost no need for demolition work, meaning that very little waste is generated.
This is its most significant feature, leading to various advantages.
The only parts that require demolition and waste disposal are the ridge flashing, so compared to a complete roof replacement, the cost is lower.
In 2004, regulations regarding the concentration of asbestos in raw materials were changed (for details, please refer to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s website).
Some building materials used in structures built before 2004 contain asbestos. Asbestos-containing materials are difficult to demolish due to their high environmental impact, and the costs for demolition and waste disposal are also high. The cover method, which generates almost no waste, is ideal for such roofs.
Some may wonder, “Is it safe to live in a building that uses asbestos-containing materials?” but rest assured. As long as there is no destruction or crushing, it will not disperse into the air.
