Roof Overlay Construction Procedure
1. Dismantling Existing Metal Sheets
The lifespan of wooden purlins is approximately 10 to 15 years. Once the lifespan is exceeded, corrosion and discoloration occur, leading to the detachment and scattering of the ridge metal.
2. Installing Roofing (Waterproof Sheet)
Tadi Self Cover is the ideal roofing sheet for the overlay method of fragile slate materials such as non-asbestos roofing. As a secondary waterproofing measure, if the roofing is properly installed, it will generally not leak. We will ensure it is securely applied to prevent it from being blown away by the wind.
Since there are various lifespans and characteristics of roofing sheets, it is important to choose roofing sheets that match the lifespan of the new roof and the roof slope!
3. Processing of Accessories (Curved and Eaves)
The metal fittings at the ridge are our company’s original integrated waste board ridge base. It has a durability of about 30 years and provides high wind resistance.
4.Main Construction (Aijii Industry / Super Galttect)
Once the installation reaches the ridge, we will install the necessary materials to secure the ridge cap, known as the “kanban.” We offer three types of kanban: cedar, resin, and galvalume steel, and this time we used galvalume steel!
Galvalume steel has an expected durability three times that of cedar! Unlike resin or cedar, it does not crack, providing peace of mind!
Even if rainwater seeps in from the ridge, it has a mechanism to discharge rainwater to the outside, demonstrating high waterproofing performance!
It is perfect for the ridge base of Super Galttect!
5. Ridge Cap Processing and Sealing at Various Locations
The screws used for fixation are stainless steel with waterproof packing that is resistant to rust!
Packings screws are less likely to come loose compared to nails,
firmly securing the ridge cap to the purlin!
Although it’s not visible after installation,
by attaching a face plate inside the ridge cap,
waterproofing is enhanced!
It firmly protects the ridge, which is a critical area of the roof.
6. Cleaning

Insulation material is tightly applied from edge to edge of the roofing material, creating a metal sheet that integrates steel and insulation. Moreover, it also has soundproofing properties, reducing the sound of rain. Being lighter than other roofing materials, it minimizes the sway during earthquakes, contributing to earthquake resistance.
