Roof Replacement Construction Procedure
1. Demolition of Existing Roof Ridge
We will dismantle the existing roofing materials (ridge cap, snow guards) that are unnecessary for the
2. Installation of Roofing (Waterproof Sheet)

It is made of modified asphalt roofing, which is said to have double the lifespan of regular asphalt roofing.
With the roofing properly installed, it serves as the primary waterproofing, preventing leaks!
We will ensure it is securely attached to prevent it from blowing away.
3. Fabrication of Accessories (Kera, Curved Eaves, Valleys)
Before the main roof installation, we will fabricate and install accessories such as curved eaves and decorative metalwork!

4. Main Construction
After the accessory fabrication, we will install the Galtect roofing up to the ridge! We will apply single cement at the overlapping areas during the installation.
Once the roofing is completed up to the ridge, we will install the purlin, which is necessary for securing the ridge cap. There are types of purlins made of cedar and resin, and this time we used cedar! [/chat]
5. Pigeon Loft Fabrication
We will also carefully fabricate the pigeon loft!
6. Installation of Ridge Cap and Wall Rain Guard
Next, we will process and install the ridge flashing. We will firmly apply sealing on the inside of the joints. For the wall edge, we will process and install a component called a rain guard flashing.
We use stainless steel nails and screws that are resistant to rust!
About the roofing material
The roofing material used is Aijii Industrial’s Super Galtect.
Super Galtect comes with a manufacturer warranty of 15 years for the coating and 25 years for perforation.
We also provide a 10-year construction warranty!
It is made of SGL steel plate, which is also resistant to rust.
The insulation material is tightly applied from end to end of the roofing material, creating a metal plate that integrates the steel plate and insulation.
When installed, insulation is applied even to the parts where the roofing materials interlock, and the surface is coated with high heat-reflective paint, allowing for a cool summer and warm winter.
Additionally, it has soundproofing properties, reducing the sound of rain.
Moreover, it is lightweight compared to other roofing materials, which minimizes the shaking during an earthquake, providing earthquake resistance.
It excels in finish, durability, insulation, soundproofing, and wind resistance, and Super Galtect from Aijii Industrial is the most commonly used in our construction projects and is highly regarded!

What is the Roof Overlay (Cover Method)?
The roof overlay method involves leaving the current roof almost intact and placing a new roof on top of it, effectively covering it.
Literally, it is a method of covering a roof with another roof. Therefore, the roof becomes double-layered. Since the roof is laid over the existing one, it is also referred to as “overlapping roofing.”
Advantages of the Overlay Method
Since a “new roof” is placed over the “current roof,” demolition work is almost unnecessary, meaning very little waste is generated.
This is the biggest feature, leading to various advantages.
The only part that requires dismantling and waste disposal is the ridge cap, so compared to complete roof replacement, the cost is lower.
In 2004, regulations regarding the concentration of asbestos in raw materials were changed (for more details, please visit the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare website).
Some building materials used in structures built before 2004 contain asbestos. Asbestos-containing materials are difficult to dismantle due to their high environmental impact, resulting in high costs for both dismantling and waste disposal. The roof overlay method, which generates almost no waste, is ideal for such roofs.
Some may wonder, “Is it safe to live in a building that uses asbestos-containing materials?” but rest assured. As long as there is no destruction or crushing, it will not disperse into the air.
