Wood Deck Painting Construction Procedure

1. Cleaning Work

If there are any stains on the wooden deck, the paint will be more likely to peel off, so we will start by cleaning it thoroughly.
Once the wood that has been wet during the cleaning process is sufficiently dry, we will move on to surface preparation. We will smooth out any rough areas by removing any remaining paint and sanding down any splintered sections.

2. Protective Measures

We will protect areas that must not get paint during the painting process. In particular, we will carefully cover the walls and windows of the house near the potted plants and wooden deck. Since high-adhesion paints can be difficult to remove once they stick, we will work meticulously.

3. Primer Coat (First Layer)

This is the painting process. We will paint not only the surface but also the grooves and the back side of the scaffolding carefully.

3. Top Coat (Second Layer)

To eliminate unevenness and prolong the life of the paint, it is standard to apply multiple coats of paint for wood. After allowing sufficient drying time from the first coat, we will apply the second coat. Once the paint is completely dry, the work is complete!

5. Completion of Wooden Deck Painting Work

The work is complete once all painted areas of the balcony are dry.

Balcony Waterproofing Construction Procedure

1. Surface Preparation and Roughening

To enhance the adhesion of the paint, we will create fine scratches on the painting surface! This is known as substrate treatment! We will roughen the smooth surface!
We will move or elevate any obstacles, such as outdoor units, that may interfere with the waterproofing work.

2. Acetone Wiping

Next, we will perform acetone wiping! This is also an important substrate treatment. Acetone wiping involves removing the oil film from the FRP waterproofing surface! Skipping this step can lead to paint peeling.
We will thoroughly clean any dirt that cannot be removed by washing. This step is crucial for enhancing the adhesion of the top coat.

3. Primer Application (Base Coat)

The primer acts as an adhesive that promotes the adhesion between the waterproof layer and the top coat!

4. Top Coat Application (Two Coats)

The top coat is generally applied in two layers!
Once finished, we will check for any missed spots.

5. Completion of Balcony Waterproofing Work

The balcony is complete once it is dry! Return any moved items and outdoor units to their original positions to finish!
