Steps for Lath Ceiling Replacement

1. Demolition of Existing Ceiling Material

4. Ceiling Board Installation

The ceiling boards are installed, completing the work!

There are several types of ceiling renovations for Japanese-style rooms, but

this customer chose to renovate using the open-joint ceiling method.

(The open-joint ceiling is a type of raised ceiling.)

The open-joint ceiling involves leaving gaps between the boards and installing them in a way that allows for visibility through the gaps.

By leaving spaces when attaching the ceiling boards, it prevents the boards from pushing against each other and cracking due to expansion from humidity.

One of its features is that it creates a flat appearance without making the thickness noticeable!
