1. High Pressure Washing
We thoroughly remove moss and dirt from the exterior walls using high pressure washing.
2. Protection of Various Areas
We protect areas that should not get wet, such as windows, sashes, and floors, using masking tape, blue sheets, and polymer masks.
This is an important task.
3. Intermediate Coating
We used Nippon Paint’s UV Protect Clear for the paint.
Unlike regular exterior painting, clear coating is only done twice with finishing paint, so there is no undercoating process.
The durability is said to be about 10 to 12 years.
The durability may vary depending on sunlight exposure.
4. Top Coating
This is the finishing touch with clear paint.
5. Painting of Auxiliary Parts (Rain Gutter, Eaves, Soffit)
We thoroughly paint everything that can be painted.

6. Cleaning and Completion
Joint Replacement Work Procedure, Roof Repair
1. Removal of Existing Sealing Material
Remove the existing sealing material using a cutter or similar tool.
2. Application of Masking Tape
Check the position for applying the tape and carefully attach it to avoid any overlap on the surface.
3. Application of Primer
Apply the primer with a brush or similar tool, ensuring there are no missed spots.
4. Filling of Sealing Material
Place the nozzle of the caulking gun at the bottom of the joint and fill it sufficiently.
5. Trowel Finish
Press firmly with a trowel that matches the joint width to achieve a smooth finish.
6. Removal of Masking Tape
Remove the masking tape promptly after finishing.
Roof Repair
That concludes the process.
Normally, exterior wall painting is done after replacing the joints, but with Nippon Paint/UV Protect Clear, it is not allowed to apply it on the replaced joints, so we performed the joint replacement after painting only the clear coating area.
The process may vary depending on the materials used, and knowledge is essential!
If the exterior wall is siding, it is common to carry out joint replacement and exterior wall painting together, so caution is necessary!
