Joint Replacement Work Procedure
1. Removal of Existing Sealant
We remove the existing sealant using a cutter or similar tool.
2. Application of Masking Tape
We check the position to apply the tape and carefully attach it to avoid any overlap on the surface.
3. Application of Primer
Apply primer with a brush or similar tool, ensuring there are no missed spots.
4. Filling the Sealant
Place the nozzle of the caulking gun against the joint base and fill it adequately.
5. Finishing with a Spatula
Firmly press with a spatula that matches the joint width to finish smoothly.
6. Removing the Masking Tape
Quickly remove the masking tape after finishing.
Exterior Painting Construction Procedure
1. High-Pressure Washing
Thoroughly remove moss and dirt from the exterior walls using high-pressure washing.
2. Protecting Various Areas
Using masking tape, blue sheets, and polymer sheeting, protect windows, sashes, floors, and other areas that will not be painted.
This is a very important task in the painting process! If protection is neglected, gaps may form, allowing paint to seep in or resulting in uneven lines.
3. Primer Coat
This time, we used SK Kaken’s water-based SD surfacer.
Applying a solid primer coat makes a significant difference in durability and finish.
4. Intermediate Coat
We used SK Kaken’s premium silicone paint.
The expected durability from the manufacturer is about 14 to 16 years.
Durability may vary depending on the region and sunlight exposure.
5. Top Coat
This is the finishing touch for the exterior painting.
6. Painting of Additional Parts (Rain Gutter, Eaves)
We will also paint the finer details.

7. Cleaning
We make it a point to clean the area around your home and the balcony during the scaffold dismantling, leaving it cleaner than before the work began!
