Exterior Wall Painting Procedure
1. High-Pressure Washing
We thoroughly remove moss and dirt from the exterior walls using high-pressure washing.
2. Masking
We use masking tape, blue sheets, and polymer masks to protect areas that will not be painted, such as windows, sashes, and floors.
This is a very important task in the painting process! If masking is neglected, gaps can form, allowing paint to seep in or resulting in uneven lines.
3. Primer Application
This time, we used SK Kaken’s Soft Surf SG.
Applying the primer properly makes a significant difference in durability and finish.
4. Intermediate Coating
We used SK Kaken’s Premium Silicon for the paint.
The manufacturer’s expected durability is said to be about 14 to 16 years.
Durability may vary depending on the region and sunlight exposure.
5. Top Coating
This is the finishing of the exterior wall painting.
6. Painting of Auxiliary Parts (Kiriyoke, Shutters, Caps)
We will also paint the finer details.

7. Cleaning
We make sure to clean around the house and the balcony during the scaffold dismantling, leaving everything cleaner than before the work started!
