This is a case study of an exterior renovation in Aoba-ku, Yokohama.
There are several types of exterior renovations, and the work we are doing this time is a roof overlay (cover method) using Super Galtect!

Roof Overlay Construction Procedure

1. Dismantling Existing Roof Ridge Flashing and Snow Guards

We will dismantle unnecessary parts (ridge flashing, snow guards) for the overlay method! The lifespan of wooden purlins is about 10 to 15 years. Exceeding the lifespan can lead to corrosion and discoloration, resulting in the detachment or scattering of the ridge flashing.[/chat]

2. Installing Roofing (Waterproof Sheet)

3. Fabrication of Accessories (Karakusa, Keraba, Valley)

Before the main roofing work, we will fabricate and install accessories such as keraba, karakusa, and valley metal!

The accessories used are genuine Galtect accessories made of SGL copper plate! [/chat]

4. Main Construction (Aijii Industry/Super Galtect)

After the fabrication of accessories, we will install the Galtect main roofing up to the ridge!
Once the roofing is completed up to the ridge, we will install the necessary materials for securing the ridge board, known as the kanban. There are types of kanban made of cedar and resin, and this time we used the resin type!
The resin type is expected to have twice the durability compared to the cedar type![/chat]

5. Processing of Ridge Cap and Sealing at Various Locations

Next, we will process and install the ridge cap. We will apply sealing thoroughly on the inside of the joints. At the wall edges, we will fabricate and install a component called a rain guard.
The nails and screws used for fixing are made of stainless steel, which is resistant to rust![/chat]

6. Cleaning

About Roofing Materials

The roofing material used is the Super Galtect from Aijii Industrial.
The Super Galtect comes with a manufacturer warranty of 15 years for the coating and 25 years for perforation.
We also provide a 10-year construction warranty!
Made of SGL steel plate, it is resistant to rust.
The insulation material is tightly applied from edge to edge of the roofing material, creating a metal sheet that integrates the steel plate and insulation.
When installed, insulation is applied even to the parts where the roofing materials overlap, and the surface is coated with a highly heat-reflective paint, allowing for a cool summer and a warm winter.
Additionally, it has soundproofing properties, which reduce the sound of rain.
Moreover, it is lightweight compared to other roofing materials, which reduces the sway during earthquakes, making it a good earthquake countermeasure.
It excels in finish, durability, insulation, soundproofing, and wind resistance, and our construction records show that the Super Galtect from Aijii Industrial is the most frequently used, gaining significant attention!
