Shinto Shrine Visit for My Second Daughter

次女のお宮参り

Hello!

The other day, I went to Kotohira Shrine in Asao-ku, Kawasaki for my second daughter’s Shinto shrine visit!

It was about1 month later than originally planned, and we went on a2 month old auspicious day.

It was right during the rainy season. The weather forecast showed rain, so I was nervous that we might have to cancel if it rained heavily, but…

Surprisingly, on the morning of the event, it was sunny enough to hang laundry outside!

When we arrived at Kotohira Shrine around noon, it was still sunny, and we were able to take pictures outside without getting wet, which was great^ ^

Since it was a bit late for the shrine visit, and my second daughter seems to be quite big, we couldn’t put on the hat that was already set for her haha

Second daughter's shrine visit

It was my first time visiting Kotohira Shrine. The grounds are not very large, but there is a big torii gate at the front, and inside there are many benches and several photo spots, making it a great place for taking pictures in the sunny weather.

There was also a family having a Shichi-Go-San photo shoot with their daughters^ ^

This year, my eldest daughter will be celebrating Shichi-Go-San, so it will be her turn to wear a kimono next!

Seeing the sisters being photographed, she said she wanted to wear that too! So I told her, you’ll be wearing it soon!

First, let’s go to Studio Alice to wear kimonos and dresses for the photo shoot!

Tomorrow, I will take my second daughter to Studio Alice for her shrine visit photo shoot.

I’m looking forward to taking some wonderful photos♪
