This is a case study of an exterior renovation project in Minami-ku, Sagamihara City.
For this roofing renovation, we performed a roof overlay (cover method) using Super Galtect.

Roof Overlay Construction Procedure
1. Dismantling Existing Roofing Materials (Cause of Leaks)
This time, the water leak was caused by insufficient cutting of the roof paint, which led to poor ventilation and the growth of mushrooms in the attic due to moisture.
I believe the mushrooms blocked the rainwater pathway along the wall, causing the leak inside.
It is also important to hire a contractor knowledgeable about roofs for roof painting.
Some of the rafters and the sheathing had rotted and become loose, so we restructured some of the rafters!

3. Roofing Installation (Waterproof Sheet)
Tadis Self Armor excels in strength, puncture sealability, dimensional stability, and durability.
It is made of modified asphalt roofing material, which is said to have double the lifespan of regular asphalt roofing.
With the roofing serving as the primary waterproofing, if it is installed properly, there will be no leaks! We will ensure it is securely attached to prevent it from blowing away.
4. Custom Fabrication (Kera and Karakusa)
The materials used for these custom pieces are SGL steel plates.
5. Main Construction (Aiji Industry / Super Galtect)
Once the installation reaches the ridge, we will install a material called a “nakanita” to secure the ridge cap. There are types of nakanita made of cedar and resin, and this time we used the resin type!
The resin type is expected to have twice the durability compared to the cedar type!
6. Ridge Cap Processing & Sealing at Various Locations
At the wall edge, we will process and install a component called a rain guard metal.
The nails and screws used for fixing are made of stainless steel, which is resistant to rust!

About Roofing Materials
The roofing material used is the Super Galtect from Aijii Industry.
The Super Galtect comes with a manufacturer warranty of 15 years for the coating and 25 years for perforation.
We also provide a 10-year construction warranty!
Made of SGL steel plate, it is resistant to rust.
Insulation material is thoroughly applied from edge to edge of the roofing material, creating a metal plate that integrates steel and insulation.
When installed, insulation is applied even to the parts where the roofing materials overlap, and the surface is coated with high heat-reflective paint, allowing for a cool summer and warm winter experience.
Additionally, it has soundproofing properties, reducing the sound of rain.
Being lighter compared to other roofing materials, it also reduces the sway during earthquakes, contributing to earthquake resistance.
