Rain Gutter Repair (Eaves Gutter Replacement) Construction Procedure

1. Dismantling Existing Eaves Gutter

We carefully remove the eaves gutter and brackets to avoid damaging the fascia! After dismantling the existing brackets, we will also perform repairs due to holes left by screws and nails. The existing eaves gutter is made of “Dai-ka Polymer/U-80,” which is now discontinued. The supporting brackets for the eaves gutter are very fragile, leading to frequent accidents involving the rain gutter falling.

2. Installing New Eaves Support Brackets

We will install new eaves brackets. The brackets will be made of stainless steel. When installing the brackets, we will use kite string or chalk lines to set the slope of the rain gutter, as the slope is crucial!

3. Installation of Eaves Gutter

We will install the new eaves gutter! We will connect components such as “joints” and “elbows” using a special adhesive for rain gutters.

4. Connecting to the Downspout

We will connect the existing downspout to the eaves gutter! Since the downspout is not a discontinued product, we were able to connect it to the new eaves gutter!

5. Water Flow Test and Cleaning

Finally, we will conduct a water flow test and clean up to complete the work!
During the water flow test, we will actually run water through the rain gutter to check for any leaks and ensure that water flows properly!

For the eaves gutter, we used Panasonic/PC50.
It has a steel plate inside, providing strength.
