Joint Replacement Construction Procedure

1. Removal of Existing Sealant

We will remove the existing sealing material using a cutter or similar tools. This is referred to as sealing, caulking, or jointing. It is prone to causing leaks and can lead to cracking or lifting of the siding, making it a critical area. Cracks and peeling are signs of deterioration! 2. Masking Tape Application

3. Primer Application

We will apply the primer with a brush or similar tool, ensuring there are no missed spots.

4. Filling with Sealing Material

Next, we will apply the sealing material. Place the nozzle of the caulking gun against the bottom of the joint and fill it sufficiently.

The caulking material used for this work isSunrise/SR Seal H100. It has a durability of about 30 years and is extremely durable, low pollution, flexible, and resistant to dirt.

5. Finishing with a Trowel

Using a trowel that matches the joint width, press firmly and finish smoothly.

6. Removal of Masking Tape

Remove the masking tape promptly after finishing.

Exterior Wall Painting Construction Procedure

1. High-Pressure Washing

First, we thoroughly wash the exterior walls with high-pressure washing to remove dirt and moss! If dirt remains, it can affect the adhesion and durability of the paint, so we wash carefully. We also wash the exterior structures, concrete floors, and inside the rain gutters as well.

2. Protection of Areas

After high-pressure washing, we protect areas that will not be painted, such as windows, sashes, and floors, using masking tape, blue sheets, and polymer masks. This is a very important task in the painting process!

If protection is neglected, gaps can form in the masking, allowing paint to seep in or resulting in uneven lines.

3. Surface Preparation

Next, we perform surface preparation, such as crack repairs, while assessing the deterioration of the exterior walls.

4. Primer Application

This is the first step of applying paint after high-pressure washing and surface preparation. It is a primer that ensures the middle and top coats adhere well to the surface. By applying the primer thoroughly, there is a significant difference in durability and finish!

The primer for the siding surface is SK Kaken’s water-based SD Surf Epoxy Premium. It also has surface adjustment functions, sealing fine cracks!

5. Middle Coat

Next is the middle coat. This is an important process to bring out the performance of the paint, achieve a beautiful finish, and eliminate unevenness!

6. Top Coat

Next is the top coat. This is the finishing touch for the exterior wall painting. We focus on ensuring there are no uneven areas or missed spots, resulting in a beautiful finish!

The paint used is SK Kaken’s Escape Premium Silicon. The manufacturer’s expected durability is said to be about 14 to 16 years.
