Roof Replacement Construction Procedure
1. Existing Roof Demolition
We will dismantle the existing roof.
2. New Sheathing Installation
After dismantling the roof, we will process and install new sheathing to fit the dimensions.
3. Roofing Installation (Waterproof Sheet)
This time, we used the Tadi Self roofing from Tajima Roofing, which is a self-adhesive roofing material.
It is suitable for roofs with a gentle slope!
Its durability is about 20 years, similar to modified asphalt.
4. Component Processing (Curly Patterns and Eaves)
We will process and install the curly patterns and eaves.
5. Main Construction
After finishing the main roofing, we will install the ridge board. This time, we used a cedar ridge board, but there are also resin ridge boards that are resistant to corrosion.
6. Ridge Metal Processing
We will process and install the ridge metal.
7. Cleaning
We will remove footprints and debris that have fallen around the house and in the rain gutters, and perform a thorough cleaning.
We strive to ensure that the area is cleaner after the work than it was before!
The construction is now complete!
The roofing material used is Keimyuu’s Colonial Quad.
Colonial Quad is a roofing material that does not contain asbestos and has improved durability compared to Colonial NEO.
It is said to be the mainstream material for slate today.
To enhance durability, an acrylic coating is applied to the surface, making the roof lighter with lightweight slate material, which also provides shock absorption.
Additionally, it is a non-combustible roofing material that is less likely to burn in a fire, and the overlapping parts of the roofing material make it less conductive to heat, exhibiting soundproofing performance comparable to ceramic tiles.
You can choose from 8 colors: Neo Black, Pearl Gray, Ice Silver, Silver White, Coconut Brown, Walnut Brown, Irish Green, and Weathered Green.
This time, we implemented measures against leaks due to roof replacement work!
