This is because, due to its structure being attached above the exterior wall, water tends to accumulate on top of it.
As a result, the band board itself is exposed to water for a longer time, causing the material to become damp and fragile.
When the moisture in the band board tries to evaporate, it can weaken the paint film, causing swelling and peeling.
Much of the damage to the band board is due to such aging deterioration.
As for repair methods, if the deterioration is minimal, it is possible to repair it with painting work, but if the deterioration is severe, we recommend a metal cover work using Galvalume steel sheets.
While replacement is also an option, if you want to eliminate future maintenance, we recommend the metal cover work using Galvalume steel sheets!
Since it completely covers the board, rainwater will no longer come into direct contact!

Band Board Metal Cover Work Procedure
1. Measure the dimensions of each area
First, we will measure the dimensions of each area!
After that, we will process it according to the measurements.
2. Nailing
We will attach the processed Galvalume steel sheet and proceed with nailing! We will also apply caulking on the inside of the seams!
3. Caulking Treatment
We will perform caulking treatment for the gaps with the exterior wall.
4. Cleaning
This concludes the work!
