Roof Overlay Construction Procedure

1. Removal of Existing Ridge Cap and Snow Stops

When performing the overlay construction, we will only dismantle the ridge cap and snow stops that may obstruct the work![/chat]

2. Laying Roofing (Waterproof Sheet)

The roofing used is Nissin Kogyo / Kappa 23!
This material is modified asphalt roofing, which is said to have double the durability of regular asphalt roofing.
As a primary waterproofing measure, if the roofing is properly installed, there will be no leaks!
We will ensure it is securely laid down to prevent it from blowing away. [/chat]

3. Fabrication of Accessories (Curly Patterns and Eaves)

Before the main roof installation, we will process components such as eaves and curly patterns!
The components used are specially designed for Galtect and are made of the same material, SGL steel plate.

4. Main Construction (Aijii Industry/Super Galtect)

After processing the components, we will install the Galtect main body up to the ridge!
Once the installation reaches the ridge, we will set up necessary materials to secure the ridge cap, known as the “kanban.” We offer three types of kanban: cedar, resin, and galvalume steel, and this time we used the resin type! The resin type is expected to have three times the durability compared to the cedar type!
Although we used the resin type this time, the durability of the galvalume steel kanban is about 30 to 35 years, making it highly durable and unlike the resin or cedar types, it won’t crack!

5. Ridge Cap Processing & Sealing

We will process and install the ridge cap and ventilation ridge. We will thoroughly apply sealing on the inside of the joints.
The nails and screws used for fixing are made of rust-resistant stainless steel!

6. Cleaning

We will clean up any debris that has fallen onto the balcony and rain gutters. We will conduct a thorough cleaning to prevent injuries from nails and metal scraps.

About Roofing Materials

The roofing material used is the Super Galtect from Aji Industrial Co., Ltd.
The Super Galtect comes with a manufacturer warranty of 15 years for the coating and 25 years for perforation.
Our company also provides a 10-year construction warranty!
Made of SGL steel plate, it is resistant to rust.
Insulation material is thoroughly applied from edge to edge of the roofing material, creating a metal plate that integrates steel and insulation.
When installed, insulation is applied even to the parts where the roofing materials overlap, and the surface is coated with high heat-reflective paint, allowing for a cool summer and a warm winter.
Additionally, it has soundproofing properties, reducing the sound of rain.
Being lighter than other roofing materials, it also minimizes the sway during earthquakes, providing earthquake resistance.

The roof overlay method involves leaving the current roof almost as it is and placing a new roof on top of it, effectively covering it.
