The work this time involves the roof overlay (cover method) using Super Galtect!

The existing roofing material is Colonial NEO, which cannot be painted!
Colonial NEO is very prone to cracking, and the only effective roof renovation method is the overlay method.

Roof Overlay Construction Procedure

1. Dismantling Existing Ridge and Snow Stops

We will dismantle unnecessary parts (ridge flashing) for the overlay method! The durability of wooden purlins is about 10 to 15 years. Exceeding the durability period can lead to corrosion and discoloration, resulting in the ridge flashing coming loose or being blown away.

2. Installing Roofing (Waterproof Sheet)

The roofing used is Tajima Roofing/Tadis Self!
It is a delayed adhesion modified asphalt roofing material, said to have double the durability of regular asphalt roofing.
As a primary waterproofing measure, if the roofing is solid, there will be no leaks!
We will ensure it is firmly attached to prevent it from blowing away.

3. Fabrication of Accessories (Curlicue and Eaves)

Before the main roofing work, we will process and install accessories such as eaves and decorative brackets!
The accessories used are the genuine parts of Galutect made from SGL copper plate!

4. Main Construction (Aijii Industry / Super Galutect)

After processing the accessories, we will install the Galutect main body up to the ridge! We will also process flat metal sheets around the skylight.
Once the installation reaches the ridge, we will install a wood batten, which is necessary for securing the ridge cap. There are types of battens made from cedar and resin, and this time we used a resin type!
The resin type is expected to have twice the durability compared to the cedar type!

5. Ridge Cap Processing and Sealing

Next, we will process and install the ridge cap. We will firmly apply sealing on the inside of the joints. For the wall edge, we will process and install a component called a rain guard.
The nails and screws used for fixing are made of stainless steel, which is resistant to rust!

6. Cleaning

We will clean up the debris that has fallen on the balcony and rain gutters. We will thoroughly remove items like nails and metal scraps that could cause injuries. Additionally, we will wipe away any footprints left on the roof to keep it clean.

About Roofing Materials

The roofing material used is the Super Galtect from Aijii Industrial.
The Super Galtect comes with a 15-year paint warranty and a 25-year hole warranty from the manufacturer.
We also provide a 10-year construction warranty!
Made of SGL steel plate, it is resistant to rust.
Insulation material is tightly applied from edge to edge of the roofing material, creating a metal plate that integrates steel and insulation.
When installed, insulation is applied even to the parts where the roofing materials overlap, and the surface is coated with a highly heat-reflective paint, allowing for a cool summer and a warm winter.
Additionally, it has soundproofing properties, which help reduce the sound of rain.
Moreover, it is lightweight compared to other roofing materials, which reduces the sway during earthquakes, making it a good earthquake countermeasure.
It excels in finish, durability, insulation, soundproofing, and wind resistance, and our construction records show that the Super Galtect from Aijii Industrial is the most frequently used, gaining significant attention!
