Exterior Wall Painting Procedure
1. High-Pressure Washing
We thoroughly remove moss and dirt from the exterior walls using high-pressure washing.
2. Masking
We use masking tape, blue sheets, and polymer masks to cover windows, sashes, floors, and other areas that will not be painted.
This is a very important task in the painting process! If masking is neglected, gaps can form, allowing paint to seep in, or clean lines may not be achieved.
3. Primer Application
This time, we used Kansai Paint’s Ares Holder.
By applying a solid base coat, there is a significant difference in durability and finish.
4. Intermediate coat
We used Kansai Paint’s Silicontex for the paint.
The manufacturer’s expected durability is said to be about 8 to 10 years.
Durability may vary depending on the region and sunlight exposure.
5. Top coat
This is the finishing touch for the exterior wall painting.
6. Painting of auxiliary parts (rain gutter, eaves, storm shutters, and kick-out flashing)
We will also paint the finer details.

7. Cleaning
During the dismantling of the scaffolding, we clean around the house and the balcony to ensure everything is cleaner than before the work began, making it a point to finish the job well!
