This is a case study of exterior renovations in Tochigi Prefecture.
There are several types of exterior renovations, and this project involves exterior wall painting and roof painting.

1. High-Pressure Washing

Through high-pressure washing of the exterior walls, we thoroughly remove dirt and moss!

2. Protection of Various Parts

Using masking tape, blue sheets, and polymer masks, we will protect areas such as windows, sashes, and floors that will not be painted. This is a very important task in the painting work! If the protection is neglected, gaps may form, allowing paint to seep in, or clean lines may not be achieved. [/chat]

3. Primer

This is the first step of applying paint after high-pressure washing and surface preparation. It is a primer that ensures that the middle and top coats adhere well to the painted surface. By applying the primer thoroughly, there will be a significant difference in durability and finish! This is an SK Kaken/Hybrid Sealer. The hybrid sealer is an excellent primer with strong adhesion.

4. Middle Coat

This is an important process to bring out the performance of the paint, achieve a beautiful finish, and eliminate uneven application!

5. Top Coat

This is the finish for the

exterior wall painting. We are conscious of achieving a beautiful finish without any unevenness or missed spots! The paint used is from SK Kaken / Premium Silicon!

Joint Replacement Work Procedure

1. Removal of Existing Sealant

We will remove the existing sealing material using a cutter or similar tool.
This is commonly referred to as sealing, caulking, or joints. It is a critical area that can easily lead to water leaks and cause cracking or lifting of the siding. Cracks and peeling are signs of deterioration!

2. Preparation (Masking Tape Application)

Check the position for applying the tape and carefully apply it to avoid any indentation on the surface.

3. Application of Primer

Apply the primer with a brush or similar tool, ensuring there are no missed spots.

4. Filling with Sealing Material

The sealing material used this time is a urethane seal! Urethane-based sealing materials have high adhesion and are cost-effective. However, they have disadvantages such as low weather resistance, vulnerability to UV rays, and a tendency to attract dust, so protection with paint is necessary when used outdoors. The durability is about 10 years, making it a cost-focused material!

5. Finishing with a Trowel

Use a trowel that matches the joint width to press firmly and finish smoothly.

6. Removal of Masking Tape

Remove the masking tape promptly after finishing.

We thoroughly remove moss and dirt from the roof using high-pressure washing.

2. Protection of Areas

We protect areas that will not be painted, such as rain gutters, using masking tape and polymer sheeting.
This is an important task.

3. Surface Preparation and Crack Repair

We repair any cracks.

4. Primer Application

Applying a solid primer makes a difference in durability and finish.

5. Installation of Spacer

After the primer, we insert spacers between the roofing materials to ensure drainage for rainwater and moisture.

6. Rust Prevention

We apply rust prevention paint to the ridge cap and snow guards.

 

7. Intermediate Coating

We used Mizutani Paint’s water-based nano-silicone black paint.
The durability is said to be approximately 10 to 12 years.
Durability may vary depending on environmental conditions.

8. Final Coating

This is the finishing touch for the roof painting.
