Roof Overlay Construction Procedure
1. Dismantling Existing Ridge and Snow Stops
The lifespan of wooden purlins is approximately 10 to 15 years. Once the lifespan is exceeded, corrosion and discoloration occur, leading to the detachment and scattering of the ridge flashing.
2. Installing Roofing (Waterproof Sheet) and Fitting Accessories (Eaves, Gable, Valley)
New Liner Roofing is the ideal roofing sheet for overlay methods on fragile slate materials such as non-asbestos roofing. As a secondary waterproofing measure, if the roofing is properly installed, it will generally not leak. We will ensure it is securely applied to prevent it from being blown away by the wind.
Since there are various lifespans and characteristics of roofing sheets, it is important to choose roofing sheets that match the lifespan of the new roof and the roof slope!
The metal fittings at the ridge are our original integrated waste board type ridge base. It has a lifespan of approximately 30 years and is a highly wind-resistant ridge base.
3.Main Construction (Aiji Industrial / Super Galtect)

The galvalume steel is expected to have three times the durability compared to cedar! Unlike resin and cedar, it does not crack, providing peace of mind!
Our original integrated waste board made of galvalume steel for the ridge base is highly durable, has strong fixation, and excellent wind resistance!
Even if rainwater enters from the ridge, it has a mechanism to discharge rainwater to the outside, demonstrating high waterproof performance!
It is perfect for the ridge base of Super Galtect!
4. Ridge Cap Processing and Sealing at Various Locations
We will process and install the ridge cap
We will use rust-resistant stainless steel screws with waterproof packing for fixation!
Screws with packing are less likely to come loose compared to nails,
firmly securing the ridge cap to the kanban!
Although it is not visible after construction,
installing a face plate on the inside of the ridge cap
enhances waterproofing!
It firmly protects the ridge, which is a critical part of the roof.

The roofing material used is Ai-Gi Kogyo / Super Galtect. Super Galtect comes with a 15-year coating warranty and a 25-year hole warranty from the manufacturer, along with a 10-year construction warranty from our company! Additionally, it is made of SGL steel, which is resistant to rust.
The insulation material is tightly applied from edge to edge of the roofing material, creating a metal panel that integrates steel and insulation. During installation, insulation is applied even to the parts where the roofing materials overlap, and the surface is coated with a highly heat-reflective paint, allowing for a cool summer and a warm winter experience.
Moreover, it also has soundproofing properties, reducing the sound of rain. Being lighter than other roofing materials, it minimizes the sway during earthquakes, providing additional earthquake resistance.
It excels in finish, durability, insulation, soundproofing, and wind resistance, and Super Galtect from Ai-Gi Kogyo is the most frequently used in our construction projects and is receiving significant attention!
