1. Existing Exterior Wall Demolition (Mortar)

There were many cracks in the existing exterior wall, and it was corroded all the way to the inside. If left as is, it would be very dangerous. First, we will demolish the exterior wall mortar. We must proceed with the demolition gradually; if we do it all at once, the exterior wall could peel off suddenly, so we will proceed carefully with safety as our top priority.

2. Installation of Purlins

After dismantling the exterior wall, we will install the rafters!

3. New Sheathing Installation

After installing the rafters, we will lay the sheathing.

4. Waterproof Paper Installation (Waterproof Sheet) and Metal Work for Flashings

We will apply waterproof paper all over. Unlike the waterproof paper for roofs, the one for exterior walls uses a breathable waterproof sheet. It allows moisture to pass through while preventing rainwater from entering. The waterproof paper used this time is SUPER Coat MAX!

5. Main Construction (Keimyu / Haru Ichiban)

We will be installing metal siding. The trim metal will be processed and installed. This trim metal will also be made of Galvalume steel!

6. Installation of Cap Flashing

We will install the cap flashing. We will apply caulking at the overlapping parts of the cap and the junction with the exterior wall for waterproofing! This increases strength and waterproofing. If this caulking is inadequate, rainwater can enter through gaps, leading to faster deterioration!

7. Installation of the Fence and Completion!

The existing fence will be installed, completing the project!
