If the wooden part inside the ridge cap becomes corroded, it can detach and scatter in strong winds, which is very dangerous.
Additionally, the top part of the roof, known as the ridge, is not covered by roofing materials, making it prone to leaks.
It is considered a critical point of the roof.
However, the corrosion of the wooden part inside the ridge cap is difficult to notice since it is internal.
Therefore, we recommend replacement every 10 years.
The ridge cap is very prone to detachment, and if left unnoticed, it can accelerate the progression of corrosion.
Thus, we recommend annual maintenance.
