In Hiratsuka City, the Earthquake Resistance Improvement Promotion Plan (3rd Phase Plan) was implemented in fiscal year 2022. This plan aims to eliminate the earthquake resistance rate of residential buildings, which was 92.5% at the time of the plan’s creation, by fiscal year 2030 (with an interim management value set at 95% for fiscal year 2025).

To further promote earthquake resistance against the possibility of a large-scale earthquake occurring in the near future, the maximum subsidy amount for earthquake resistance renovation work will be increased by 300,000 yen (400,000 yen for non-taxable households) only for fiscal years 2024 and 2025 (subject to budget availability).
