Exterior Painting Construction Procedure

1. High-Pressure Washing

 

First, we thoroughly remove dirt and moss from the exterior walls using high-pressure washing! If dirt remains, it can affect the adhesion and durability of the paint, so we wash carefully. We also wash the exterior structures, concrete floors, and inside the rain gutters. This time, we used bio-washing!

2. Masking

We will protect areas that will not be painted, such as windows, sashes, and floors, using masking tape, blue sheets, and polymer masks. This is a very important task in the painting process!

Neglecting masking can create gaps, allowing paint to seep in or resulting in uneven lines.

3. Surface Preparation

Next, we will perform surface preparation, such as crack repairs, while checking the deterioration of the exterior walls.

4. Primer Application

  

This is the first step of applying paint after completing high-pressure washing and surface preparation. It is a primer that ensures the middle and top coats adhere firmly to the painted surface. By applying the primer thoroughly, there will be a significant difference in durability and finish!

The paint used is Mizutani Paint / Nano Composite Filler.

5. Middle Coat

 

Next is the middle coat. This is a crucial process to eliminate unevenness, showcase the paint’s performance, and achieve a beautiful finish!

6. Top Coat

 

This is the finishing touch for the exterior wall painting. We focus on ensuring there are no uneven spots or missed areas, achieving a beautiful finish! The paint used was Mizutani Paint’s Nano Composite W.
The manufacturer’s expected durability is about 12 to 16 years.
Durability may vary depending on the region and sunlight exposure.

auxiliary parts, for iron parts, we apply a rust preventive Lock Paint / Sabicut as a primer, followed by a middle coat and top coat with Lock Paint / Yumelock. We make sure to paint every detail thoroughly!

For the eaves, we used Nippon Paint / Ken Ace.
