1. Demolition of Existing Ridge and Snow Stops
Exceeding the durability period can lead to corrosion and discoloration, resulting in the detachment or scattering of the ridge flashing.
2. Laying Roofing (Waterproof Sheet) & Fabrication of Accessories (Curly, Eaves, Valley)
As a secondary waterproofing measure, if the roofing is properly installed, there will be no leaks!
When selecting a roofing sheet, choose one with a durability that is as close as possible to that of the new roofing material! New Liner Roofing has a durability that is relatively close to Super Galtect, so we recommend using New Liner Roofing when performing roofing work with Super Galtect!
3．Main Construction (Aijii Industry / Super Galtect)
4．Ridge Cap Processing & Sealing at Various Locations
Once the installation reaches the ridge, we will set up the necessary materials to fix the ridge cap, known as the “kanban.” We offer three types of kanban: cedar, resin, and galvalume steel, and this time we used galvalume steel!
Galvalume steel offers three times the durability compared to cedar, and unlike resin or cedar, it does not crack, providing peace of mind! We also recommend selecting a base material for the ridge that has a durability close to that of the new roofing material, just like the roofing sheet.
The screws used for fixing will be rust-resistant stainless steel screws with washers!
Screws with washers are less likely to pull out compared to nails, securely fixing the ridge cap to the purlin!
Although it is not visible after installation, by attaching a face plate to the inside of the ridge cap, waterproofing is enhanced! It firmly protects the ridge, which is a critical part of the roof.
5. Cleaning
About Roofing Materials
The roofing material used is the Super Galtect from Aijii Industry. The Super Galtect comes with a 15-year paint warranty and a 25-year hole warranty, and we also provide a 10-year construction warranty!
Made of SGL steel, it is resistant to rust. The insulation material is tightly adhered from edge to edge of the roofing material, creating a metal sheet that integrates steel and insulation.
When installed, insulation is applied even to the parts where the roofing materials overlap, and the surface is coated with a high heat-reflective paint, allowing for a cool summer and warm winter. Additionally, it has soundproofing properties, reducing the sound of rain.
Moreover, it is lighter compared to other roofing materials, which reduces the sway during earthquakes, making it a good earthquake countermeasure. It excels in finish, durability, insulation, soundproofing, and wind resistance, and our company has the highest number of installations of Aijii Industry’s Super Galtect, making it highly regarded!
