Roof Painting Work Procedure
1. High-Pressure Washing
We thoroughly remove moss and dirt from the roof using high-pressure washing.
2. Protection of Areas
We protect areas that will not be painted, such as rain gutters, using masking tape and poly masks.
This is an important task.
3. Surface Preparation and Crack Repair
We will repair any cracks.
4. Primer
This time, we used Kansai Paint’s Ales Dynamic Sealer.
By applying a solid primer, the durability and finish will show a difference.
5. Installing the Spacer
After the primer, we insert spacers between the roofing materials to ensure a pathway for rainwater and moisture to escape.
6. Rust Prevention
We apply rust prevention paint to the ridge cap and snow guards.
7. Intermediate Coating
For the paint, we used Kansai Paint’s radical control type paint, Ales Dynamic Roof.
The durability is said to be about 13 to 15 years.
The durability may vary depending on sunlight exposure and other factors.
8. Top Coating
This is the finishing of the roof painting.
9. Cleaning
We will clean up any debris that has fallen to the ground, completing the project!
