The existing roofing material is an asbestos-containing slate roof. It has significantly deteriorated, making it difficult to prolong its life through painting, so we proposed leak prevention work using the roof overlay (cover method)!

Roof Overlay Construction Procedure
1. Demolition of Existing Ridge and Snow Stops
2. Laying of Roofing (Waterproof Sheet)
It is made of modified asphalt roofing, which is said to have double the durability of regular asphalt roofing.
As a primary waterproofing measure, if the roofing is properly installed, there will be no leaks!
We will securely attach it so that it does not blow away!
3. Fabrication of Components (Karakusa, Keraba, Valley)
The components used are made of SGL copper plate!
4. Main Construction (Sekino Kousan/Dannetsu Top)
Once the roofing is completed up to the ridge, we will install the necessary materials to secure the ridge board, known as the kanban. There are types made of cedar and resin, and this time we used the resin type!
The resin type is expected to have twice the durability of the cedar type!
5. Processing of Ridge Cap and Sealing at Various Locations
The nails and screws used for fixing are made of stainless steel, which is resistant to rust!
6. Cleaning
About the Roofing Material
The roofing material used is Sekino Kousan’s Danetsutop.
Danetsutop is made of Galvalume steel, which offers excellent durability and comes with a manufacturer’s coating warranty! 15-year coating warranty and 25-year hole warranty are included!
While it looks very similar to Hirambi, Danetsutop comes with polyethylene foam insulation as a standard feature, not as an option!
Additionally, we provide a 10-year construction warranty!
Features of Danetsutop 8-1
It is lightweight and strong against earthquakes, making it a roof material that excels in both lightweight properties and robust fastening. It is also easy to install, which improves work efficiency.
Moreover, it features heat-insulating GL steel plates with insulation effects. The high corrosion-resistant GL steel plate combined with insulation material offers excellent thermal insulation, soundproofing, and strength.
