This subsidy program targets individuals and households installing new storage battery systems in residences within Tokyo. It is a condition of the subsidy that a solar power generation system is already installed or installed simultaneously.

Requirements
Eligible storage batteries must be registered with SII (Environmental Collaboration Initiative), and overlapping subsidies from other municipalities or public corporations are not allowed. The installation period is from April 1, 2025, to March 30, 2029, and a “Grant Application and Performance Report” must be submitted after a prior application.

Subsidy Rate and Amount
Subsidies for the installation costs of storage batteries will be provided as a fixed amount (per kWh). Instead of a percentage of the cost, a predetermined amount will be granted as the upper limit. Additionally, participating in demand response (DR) demonstrations will provide further subsidies.

Storage Battery Package (New Installation): The subsidy limit is 120,000 yen per storage capacity of 1 kWh. Furthermore, participation in DR demonstrations qualifies for an additional 100,000 yen.
