Roof Replacement Construction Procedure
1. Dismantling Existing Roof Ridge Metal
We will dismantle unnecessary existing roofing materials (ridge metal, snow stops) for the
2. Installing Roofing (Waterproof Sheet)
The roofing used is Nisshin Kogyo/Kappa 23!
It is made of modified asphalt roofing, which is said to have double the durability of regular asphalt roofing.
With the role of primary waterproofing, if the roofing is solid, there will be no leaks!
We will secure it properly so it won’t blow away.[/chat]
3. Fabricating Accessories (Curlicue, Eaves, Valley)
The materials used will be galvalume steel. Since these are identical materials, we will first install the waste eaves!
4. Main Construction (D’s Roofing/Diplomat Star)

The nails and screws used for fixing will be made of stainless steel, which is resistant to rust!

About Roofing Materials
The roofing material used is the Diplomat Star from Deez Roofing.
Deez Roofing offers a 30-year warranty on the base material.
Our company also provides a 10-year construction warranty!
It uses zinc-aluminum steel, which has the same composition as galvanized steel, known for its rust resistance.
Deez Roofing’s surface stone granules reduce the thermal conductivity to the steel layer. This structure allows for a sufficient air layer between the roofing material and the roof substrate, making it less likely to transfer heat to the attic compared to other roofing materials.
Moreover, the unevenness of the surface stone granules helps to disperse raindrops, causing them to hit the surface in smaller sizes compared to a regular smooth surface. As a result, the high-frequency noise caused by the micro-vibrations of the steel plate when raindrops hit, which is often referred to as the “loud noise” of steel roofs, can be suppressed by the natural stone granule layer on the surface.
By adopting the “interlocking method” that integrates the roofing materials, it boasts performance that can withstand winds of up to 60m/s, as well as excellent fire resistance and waterproofing.

What is the roof overlay (cover method)?
The roof overlay method involves leaving the current roof almost intact and placing a new roof on top of it, effectively covering it.
Literally, it is a method of covering a roof with another roof. Therefore, the roof becomes double-layered. It is also referred to as “overlapping roofing” since the roofs are layered on top of each other.
Benefits of the overlay method
Since a “new roof” is placed over the “current roof,” demolition work is almost unnecessary, meaning that very little waste is generated.
This is the biggest feature and leads to various benefits.
The only part that requires demolition and waste disposal is the ridge cap, so compared to complete roof replacement, the cost is lower.
In 2004, regulations regarding the concentration of asbestos in raw materials were changed (for details, please refer to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare website).
Some building materials used in constructions completed before 2004 contain asbestos. Asbestos-containing materials are difficult to demolish due to their high environmental impact, and the costs for demolition and waste disposal are also high. The overlay method, which generates almost no waste, is ideal for such roofs.
Some of you may wonder, “Is it safe to live in a building that uses asbestos-containing materials?” but rest assured. As long as there is no destruction or crushing, it will not disperse into the air.

Additionally, the construction can be completed in a shorter time frame compared to painting or complete roof replacement. A shorter construction period means lower labor costs, which in turn makes the costs cheaper.
This also reduces the psychological anxiety of having to live in an unusual environment.
