Single-family wooden houses with two stories or less, built using the frame construction method before May 31, 1981, that meet all the following criteria:
(1) Houses that have been approved for subsidy under the Hamura City Wooden House Earthquake Resistance Diagnosis Subsidy Guidelines or houses diagnosed with a score of less than 1.0 according to the general diagnosis method or precise diagnosis method specified by the Japan Building Disaster Prevention Association, and confirmed to achieve a score of 1.0 or higher after renovation.
(2) Earthquake renovations that do not violate the Building Standards Act and the Act on Promotion of Earthquake Resistance Renovation of Buildings.
Subsidy Amount
The amount of the subsidy is up to 500,000 yen, which is within half of the expenses required for seismic retrofitting, and is available once per eligible residential building.
